Elena's Cat Care Amstelveen respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data is collected when you contact Elena or submit a booking request, why it is used, and which service providers may receive it.

Who is responsible for your data

Elena's Cat Care Amstelveen is responsible for processing your personal data.

Elena provides the cat care personally.

What data we collect

Depending on your request, we may receive:

  • your full name
  • email address
  • phone number
  • home address
  • information about your cat(s), including care instructions
  • requested dates and visit preferences
  • access arrangements
  • emergency contact and veterinary details
  • notes you choose to provide
  • information necessary to arrange and invoice the service

Please do not send key-safe codes through the booking form, email or WhatsApp request. A key-safe code is shared separately after availability has been confirmed.

How we use your data

Your data is used to:

  • respond to your request
  • check availability and arrange visits
  • communicate with you about the service
  • provide the requested cat care
  • handle emergencies when necessary
  • prepare administration and invoices
  • comply with applicable legal and accounting obligations

We do not use your booking data for unrelated advertising or sell your personal data.

Legal basis

We process personal data on the following legal bases under the GDPR:

  • to take steps at your request before entering into a service agreement and to perform the agreement with you
  • to comply with legal obligations, including accounting and tax requirements
  • where necessary for our legitimate interests, such as managing our business, communicating with clients and protecting our services, provided that these interests do not override your rights and freedoms

We do not rely on consent as the legal basis for processing booking and service information where another GDPR legal basis applies.

Moneybird

Customer and invoice information is processed through Moneybird for administration and invoicing.

This may include your name, address, email address, phone number, invoice information, amount and description of the service.

Moneybird processes this information as a service provider used for business administration and invoicing. Moneybird's own privacy policy and terms also apply to its processing of personal data.

How long we keep your data

We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer period is required by law.

Customer and invoice administration data that form part of our business and tax records are generally retained for 7 years where required by Dutch tax and accounting rules.

Other request or communication data are kept only for as long as reasonably necessary for the relevant service, administration, legal obligations or handling possible disputes, and are deleted or anonymised when they are no longer needed.

Email and WhatsApp

We may use email and WhatsApp to communicate with you about your request, booking and cat care.

Information you send through these services is processed by the respective service provider as part of providing that communication service.

Please do not send key-safe codes in the booking request or outgoing website-generated message.

Website hosting

The website is hosted on Netlify. The website does not use Google Analytics or other third-party analytics tracking.

Cookies and similar technologies

The website does not intentionally use advertising or analytics cookies.

If a technical cookie or similar technology is introduced in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated where necessary.

Your rights

Under applicable data protection law, you may have rights to:

  • request access to your personal data
  • request correction of inaccurate data
  • request deletion where applicable
  • request restriction of processing where applicable
  • object to certain processing
  • request data portability where applicable
